Building trust with our children is one of our essential goals so they gain the comfort and confidence to explore everything surrounding them. Our classrooms are arranged to induce interest. The materials are comprehensively designed to strengthen social, cognitive, creative, motor and linguistics abilities. Our teachers pull it all together by utilizing an appropriate, balanced approach; guiding, directing and always supporting. Hence, we’ve established endless learning opportunities that align fully with their stage of development. All of our children reap the rewards of a positive, productive learning environment.
At 3 their eagerness to learn is strong. They have gotten better at expressing themselves, their motor skills have increased. They engage with their peers, they begin making connections to numbers and letters, scribbles turn into shapes. The people and places in their neighborhood have meaning. Another wonderful opportunity to expand learning. Routines become more defined, hands-on instruction remains essential, exposure to print abounds and all of the components of well-rounded experiences take place. Social enrichment is at the forefront; We assist the children in understanding self-awareness, self-love, relationship building, compassion, responsibility, manners and teamwork. Diverse units of study are introduced and explored. We are still playing!

Our 3 Year-Olds
Starting At 2½ Years Old
This may be the first time our little friends are coming to school. We nurture their transition so they gain the comfort needed to succeed. Some may fear leaving family members and others may not have much language. Some can count to 10, others can recite the alphabet. Most are learning boundaries and love to say NO! As the year evolves so do their social skills, thus they begin the wonderful ascent from “me” to “me and you”. We are busy discovering the world around us. Hands on learning at its best. The foundation to all aspects of development unfolds using a concrete approach; math, sorting, science, engineering, building, language, singing, early literacy, rhyming, read a louds, interacting and so much more is explored. Lots of repetition in our learning also takes place, building cognitive and comprehensive skills. And we play!

The momentum is strong for our upcoming graduates. More extensive concepts such as time, sequencing, pre-reading (if they are ready to read we will support them), writing, addition/subtraction, science, illustrating, and games with rules are incorporated. Our social enrichment component is prevalent; we are role playing, leading by example, taking responsibility, discussing our actions supporting positive and productive growth. More units of study are integrated and thoroughly analyzed. We haven’t stopped playing! Come June our children are proud graduates!
